Jennifer opened Dragonfly Therapeutic Massage in 2018 to serve the RVA area with a profound passion for helping others with chronic pain through massage! She is Licensed Massage Therapist through the Virginia Board of Nursing and holds a professional membership with the American Massage Therapy Association. She graduated with honors from Advanced Fuller School of Massage in
Virginia Beach, VA.
She has over seven years of experience working in the wellness and fitness industries and five years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her unique style of Therapeutic Massage combines many modalities into one to help both your mind and body fully relax and recover. She draws influence from her classes in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Medical Massage, Lomi Lomi, Cupping Therapy and many more techniques creating a truly unique experience. She specializes in decreasing chronic migraines, chronic pain and assisting in post-injury recovery.
Jennifer started her journey as a Massage Therapist after receiving massages for chronic pain at a young age. After Massage Therapy changed her life she then went on to pursue a career in the field to help others just as it helped her. She understands the importance of regular bodywork from a truly unique perspective. She believes the work hasn’t finished when you get off the table but has only truly begun. She is avid about teaching each client useful skills to decrease pain, increase range of motion, strength and stability, and handle anxiety and stress to improve your overall wellbeing. When she’s not working she spends her time powerlifting, hiking, reading, traveling!
Rebecca is a graduate of the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences (NAMTHS currently at Landsdale School of Business in North Wales, PA) where she completed 600 hours of training. She has a B.S. in Agronomy and Environmental Science from Delaware Valley University, in Doylestown, PA, and was the top scorer for the women’s cross country team.
After working five years as an environmental scientist, she returned as an assistant cross country coach at DVU and went on to study Massage Therapy at NAMTHS in Landsdale, PA. Upon graduating NAMTHS, she was awarded the President’s Award or outstanding academic achievement, Highest of Honors for Academic Excellence in the study of Massage as well as Anatomy & Physiology. Rebecca also served as a Clinic Supervisor, Weekend Class Massage Instructor, and Canine Massage Class Instructor at NAMTHS.
Her training includes Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stones, Medical, and Sports Massage as well as Myofascial Release and Trigger Point techniques. Additionally, Rebecca is a Equine and Canine Massage Therapist (Round Hill, VA). With her background as an athlete and scientist, she understands the importance of maintaining the musculoskeletal system. Rebecca is a Virginia Licensed Massage Therapist and Board Certified Massage Therapist (NCTMB) and has over 15 years of experience as a Massage Therapist. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, trail running with her dog, organic gardening and reading.
